When You Forget by Annie Lai

This is a poem that I wrote really recently. Give it a read? :D When You Forget by Annie Lai When you forget me, my soul in your mind will slip away. Piece by piece. shard by shard, bit by bit, I will fade from your memory. All that will be left shall be a tiny tidbit left for you to subconsciously grasp onto but lose grip of. You will be puzzled by this sudden recognition of something - or someone - unknown. You will struggle to understand what has just surfaced. Will the unknown plague your mind? If so, how long? Will the strangeness of this mental thing confuse you? Or will you push this strange, unknown thought back into the recesses of your brain? Locked up in a closet, tossed into a bin labeled “Useless Thoughts”? Well, I’ll never know if you forget me or not. I can’t control that, but the odds are you will. I can contemplate over this for months and months on end. But I won’t. I’ll just sit here and hope for the best. Maybe you won’t forget me. Will you?

Talk About It - Erik Hassle

I don't want to think about it, no.

Hey guys!
It's Annie. (Again.)

It's March! And I'm not forever alone this month. Yay~! <3
Haha.

So I heard the ad for this on Spotify, and it grabbed my attention.
Now keep in mind, I normally mentally curse Spotify ads because:
  1. They take FREAKING FOREVER.
  2. They're annoying.
  3. They advertise crappy pop artists like Justin Bieber and Shakira.
  4. They're just stupid.
I rue the day Spotify decided to air the stupid commercials.

But anyways. An ad concerning this single by Erik Hassle came on, and I was like "Woah. This sounds interesting."

So I listened to the song, and I really liked it.
Thus, I shall post about it!

The song: Talk About It by Erik Hassle

Why I like it: It's depressing, but has a clear message - I don't want to talk about it.

A little bit about Erik Hassle: Currently 25 years of age, Erik Hassle makes a living as a Swedish pop singer/songwriter. HE HAS RED HAIR. THAT IS SO AWESOME. Originating from a rural village called Katrineholm, just two hours south of Stockholm, Sweden, he writes pop songs and flaunts his super awesome hair.

Why I like Erik Hassle: That's the only song I've ever listened to from him. So I can't really say.

Have a great day.
(I'm dead on my feet.) A Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha and a cake pop right now would be nice.

Until next time~! :D
Just let me know what you would call this thing between us.

9. Heartbreak Warfare - John Mayer.

Most heartbreaking lyrics: Drop his name / Push it in and twist the knife again / Watch my face as I pretend to feel no pain, pain, pain...
10. Break Away - Tokio Hotel.

Annie's Top Ten Heartbreak Songs (Part Two)

Hi, it's Annie again~
Aaaaaaaaand I'm back with Part Two of Top Ten Heartbreak Songs.

6. Like We Used To - A Rocket To The Moon.

Most heart wrenching lyrics: Does he watch your favorite movies? / Does he hold you when you cry?
*sigh* The piano version hits me real hard in the gut. It's just so sad.

7. I Hate Everything About You - Three Days Grace.

Best pissed off lyrics: I hate everything about you / Why do I love you? / You hate everything about me / Why do you love me?
And of course, we need a rage song. Just to get over those lingering sad feelings, right? WE NEED TO PUNCH THAT JERK IN THE FACE AND LET HIM BLEED ALL OVER HIS EXPENSIVE PERSIAN CARPET.

Oh, have I mentioned that I've been getting into League of Legends lately? Add me: bitterism. I play mainly Annie, Warwick and Sivir now. Hehe. <3

Sorry, this is really short. I just had to post something after a week of inactivity.

Until next time.
Ja ne~!

Entertainment - Phoenix

I'll take the trouble that you have in mind.

Yo everyone. It's Annie.

The song: Entertainment by Phoenix.

Why I like it: It's got this awesome semi-Asian vibe. That combined with some electro is DA BOMB. (If you've watched the Korean drama Beethoven Virus, you will understand this. Go Mr. Yongki Bay!

A little bit about Phoenix: Originating from Versailles, France, vocalist Thomas Mars, bassist Deck d'Arcy (what a badass name. oh my~), and guitarists Christian Mazzalai and Laurent Brancowitz formed to make an alternative rock band that has been active since 1999. They are categorized as alternative rock, synthpop and new wave artists.

Why I like Phoenix: This is a stupid reason, but their accents are so awesome. Haha. Also, their band's "vibe" is unique.

Listen to the song. It gives me shivers (the good kind).

Until next time.
I heard it all before I died, before I knew you.

Bruno Mars and The Red Hot Chili Peppers at Super Bowl XLVIII

Good fucking job, guys.

For such a boring, one-sided Super Bowl with cheesy commercials, the halftime performance is most likely going to be known as the greatest one of all time. As the game dragged on through the 1st half, I heavily anticipated the performance. Bruno and The Red Hot Chili Peppers exceeded my expectations by a huge margin. Between the James Brown dancing, drum solos, and shirtless jumping, this really was a stellar halftime performance, and a lot better than uh, last year's performance.

Also, the pyrotechnics, lighting, and special effects were all astonishing. There were lights and beams everywhere, sudden light flares, complete darkness, and fireworks that shot from the rim of the stadium. Yes, you heard me, the rim of the stadium. Even though everything else about the Super Bowl was lacking, this really stood out, and will be unforgettable for me.

Scars - SayWeCanFly

It's not you, but this world you should hate. You're as beautiful as you were yesterday.

Hey everyone, it's Annie again.

Ah, this song is just beautiful.
It makes me cry, but encourages me to keep living.
I do realize how corny that sounds, but this song applies to me so much that it hurts.

The song: Scars by SayWeCanFly.

Why I like it: The lyrics are amazing. The raw emotion in Braden Barrie's voice is touching and heartbreaking at the same time.

A little bit about SayWeCanFly: SayWeCanFly is an acoustic one-man band featuring Braden Barrie, an emotional singer whose music serves to reconnect the world with each other on an emotional level. He hails from Ontario, Canada. Barrie says, "I want everyone to know that no matter what you are going through, someone on this earth understands."
He's been touring for about two to three years now, and HE WAS ON THE VANS WARPED TOUR. AHHHHHH~
Barrie has been featured in Alternative Press Magazine and the PureVolume website.

(What he says is really touching, you know? People ask how you're doing, or what the problem is, but not as many people ask, "How can I help?" Even less people say that they empathize with you. Anger and triteness is our shield and protection from being hurt again.)

Why I like SayWeCanFly: Braden Barrie's lyrics connect with me on an emotional level. Not just skimming the surface, but digging deep inside.
One terrible day, I was feeling like crap and actually wanted to die. You see, I get bullied at school. Yeah. There it is. I've cut and had suicidal thoughts because of that. But my sister (not biologically, because I only have a biological little brother) sent me this song - Scars by SayWeCanFly. I listened to it and it made me feel so much better.
The lyrics, the portrayal in the music video - it all got to me on an emotional level.

I love you, Braden Barrie. Thank you so much.

Yeah, I love you, the reader, too. :D

Watch the video. :)

Until next time, everyone.
See ya.
And those tears in your eyes are the product of lies. You've been lead to believe that they're true.

Annie's Top Ten Heartbreak Songs (Part One)

Yo - it's Annie.
(No, really? DIDN'T YOU READ THE TITLE?)

Okay. This is a list of my Top Ten Heartbreak Songs. These aren't breakup songs, but songs I feel perfectly encompass the feeling of heartbreak.

Beware, I'm an emo/rock kind of person.

1. I Don't Love You - My Chemical Romance.

The most gut-wrenching lyrics: Well, when you go, don't ever think I'll try to make you stay / When you go, would you even turn to say, "I don't love you like I did yesterday"?

(I believe I've posted this song before. Well, this song is first in line for the first heartbreaking song I need to fill my heart with.)
The guy (ah, Gerard Way, how I love you~) is just stating, "I don't love you, get out." However, he still does love her. Watch the music video. The symbolism of the guy donned in black and the girl washed in white should smack you in the face.
*sniffles*

2. Dreaming With A Broken Heart - John Mayer.

The most gut-wrenching lyrics: When you're dreaming with a broken heart / The waking up is the hardest part

Gah, the feels. John Mayer's croons just add to the emotion of the song. That's enough stated.

3. Terrible Things - Mayday Parade.

The most gut-wrenching lyrics: She said, "Boy can I tell you a terrible thing? / It seems that I'm sick and I've only got weeks. / Please, don't be sad now, I really believe / You were the greatest thing that ever happened to me."

This song makes me cry. The story is just so saddening. Read the lyrics.

4. Why - Secondhand Serenade.

The most gut-wrenching lyrics: Why do you do this so easily? / You make it hard to smile because / You make it hard to breathe

This song just makes me feel frozen, yet melting inside. It makes me feel so sad.

5. Ohio Is For Lovers - Hawthorne Heights.

The most gut-wrenching lyrics: You know you do, you kill me well / You like it too, and I can tell / You never stop until my final breath is gone.

This song is screamo (but not really considered hardcore screamo - because I know I would scare people with that. ;^;)
Just listen to the song. Hearing the lyrics makes the reason I placed this song on the list rather self-explanatory, ne?

The feels have resurfaced. I'm feeling really down right now (I've been feeling depressed for the whole week...), so I'm gonna go cry my heart out.
Part Two will be posted soon.

I love you guys. So freaking much.
See you later.

Classic - MKTO

Oh baby, this world might've gone crazy.
It's DJ Annie in the house, yoooooooo. *hair flip*
HAHA JUST KIDDING. THAT SOUNDED SO LAME, I'M SORRY.

But guess what? I got into DJing a few hours ago and have been screwing around with VirtualDJ Home (Free) and the songs I have in my music library.
And guess what - I've decided to upload them here.

Please, please, please listen to it (and tell me how it is!).

Okay, so moving on -

The song: Classic by MKTO.

Why I like it: It's so optimistic. They're like Juliet's LMNT but better.

A little bit about MKTO: Ugh. Go google them. Please. (sorry, I'm EXHAUSTED from my finals.)

Why I like MKTO: They're upbeat and peppy. They're probably one of my go-to bands when I need a dose of happy music.

This is the original song:

Until next time. Ja ne~!
You're over my head, out of my mind.

Music and Homework

Hey guys, Jordan here! Sorry that I never posted after Annie introduced me, I've been SUPER busy (college tours, midterms, football, etc.) You can check out my section of the "about us" page if you want to know more about me! This is my first post here, so it might be a bit awkward, and weirdly formatted, so please don't raise your pitchforks and burn me like a witch(I'm begging you)

Whenever I do homework, I always have to get out my headphones first before I begin anything. Homework and music is a good/bad thing, depending on the song. If an Adele song comes on, I sing along, thinking I sound amazing, while in reality, I sound terrible. If a Tyler, the Creator song comes on, I run around my room and fuck shit up. It makes me think about the kind of person I am, listening to a song about rain on fire, and the other one about Satan and date rape. I'm a weirdo. Then I realize that I've been spacing out for the past hour, with my homework sitting on my bed. Still, I don't learn my lesson, as I do my homework for the next minute, then repeat the singing/dancing/wrecking process. I get stuck in a neverending cycle of musical doom, and end up spending 6 hours on a 20 minute assignment. Even though it isn't good for my studies, I cant't do my homework without music.

I Don't Love You - My Chemical Romance

Better get out while you can.

That's right, I don't and never will.

JUST KIDDING, I LOVE ALL MY READERS.

Heyo. It's Annie again!

The song: I Don't Love You by My Chemical Romance

Why I like it: I feel like it perfectly describes my life at the moment. Plus, I love MCR (even though they disbanded). This song is heartbreaking. So is the music video.

THE FEELS, BRAH. THE FEELS. TT______TT

A little about My Chemical Romance: They recently disbanded (I cried a little when I found out.) They were together from 2001 to March 2013, consisting of Gerard Way as vocalist (YES. JUST YES TO GERARD WAY.), Ray Toro and Frank Iero as guitarists and Mikey Way as bassist (Gerard's brother). My Chemical Romance originated in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA.

Why I like My Chemical Romance: Their sound is amazing. They're emo punk, but they're not too harsh or screamo, which to me is just plain perfection in a bottle. MCR's music videos and lyrics are absolutely amazing and always help me get back up when I'm feeling down. They're hilarious, emotional and fantastic all bundled up into one band.

They're my favorite. <3 font="">

Give it a listen. It's horrific that they disbanded, but I still love them.

My Winter Break is over already. I can't wait for Spring Break. :(
Would you have the guts to say, "I don't love you like I did yesterday"?
