Bruno Mars and The Red Hot Chili Peppers at Super Bowl XLVIII

Good fucking job, guys.

For such a boring, one-sided Super Bowl with cheesy commercials, the halftime performance is most likely going to be known as the greatest one of all time. As the game dragged on through the 1st half, I heavily anticipated the performance. Bruno and The Red Hot Chili Peppers exceeded my expectations by a huge margin. Between the James Brown dancing, drum solos, and shirtless jumping, this really was a stellar halftime performance, and a lot better than uh, last year's performance.

Also, the pyrotechnics, lighting, and special effects were all astonishing. There were lights and beams everywhere, sudden light flares, complete darkness, and fireworks that shot from the rim of the stadium. Yes, you heard me, the rim of the stadium. Even though everything else about the Super Bowl was lacking, this really stood out, and will be unforgettable for me.
